Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen

The book Hatchet, by Gary Paulsenis about a 13-year old boy named Brian who was on a plane to visit his mother, but during the ride the pilot of the plane had a heart attack, and crashed in the Canadian wilderness.

Hatchet is one of my favorite books. The plot is very good and captures the reader's attention immediately. I would recommend this book to everyone. Hatchet made me think of what would happen if I was in Brian's shoes and was trapped in the wilderness with no help.

In this story there is a boy named Brian pathos parents are going to get divorced and one day he goin to visit his father until the pilot gets a heart attack and he crashes into the cold Canadian wilderness with nothing but a jacket and the hatchet his mother gave him on his way as a present. He knows it was going to be hard for him to survive with the dreadful news of his parents divorce. In the plane he finds a survival kit with some supplies that would help him through the survival. After the crash he was angry scared sad. But right know he had to put all those emotions away and figure out on how to survive. He knew no one was coming for him he now has to do whatever it takes to find a radio station survivors or maybe he will never find anything. With the bad knews of the secret he won't stop concentrating about it.

I think this book would be an amazing book for people who like a person changing the whole scenario or the book. It is a real cliffhanger I liked the part about him being in the wilderness and trying all his surroundings as a tool the part I didn't like was the beginning about his parents having a divorce. This book really gets people into the mood as soon as your into the part about the plane drive you won't stop wanting to read because this book is an eye catcher. Each scene to the reader is that they want to keep reading to know what happens next and the only reason my favorite part was the plane travel because I wouldn't want to stop. I would want to read everything and every detail to know what happens after.

"The Hatchet" is a young adult novel written by Gary Paulsen. The story follows Brian Robeson, a 13-year-old boy who is stranded in the Canadian wilderness after a plane crash. Armed only with a hatchet, Brian must survive on his own in the wilderness, facing challenges such as finding food and water, building shelter, and avoiding dangerous animals. The novel explores themes of survival, resilience, and self-reliance, as Brian learns to adapt to his new environment and overcome his fears. The book is a classic in the genre of survival stories and has been widely read and loved by both young and adult readers.

"The Hatchet" is an engaging and compelling read that offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of survival in the wilderness. Many readers have appreciated how the book portrays the resilience and resourcefulness of the human spirit, as Brian Robeson must overcome numerous challenges to survive. The book is also praised for its vivid descriptions of the Canadian wilderness and the wildlife that inhabits it. On the other hand, some readers have found the book's pacing slow, and the plot predictable at times. Overall, "The Hatchet" is an excellent book for readers who enjoy adventure and survival stories, especially for young adults who are interested in outdoor activities and nature.
